Bonney Rush Haugen


Bonney studied music education at Northern Arizona University and music performance at Pima College in Tucson Az where she then continued her flute studies with Dr. Sandy Schwoebel. Bonney has performed with the Tucson Flute Club, Arizona Symphonic Winds, Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra and taught flute and piano at Southern Arizona School for Music and Dance in addition to a private studio. After moving to Seattle she performed with the Seattle Flute Society, Highline Flute Ensemble, Renton City Concert Band and worked as the church pianist for St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Renton. Other ventures in Seattle included private teaching, performing as guest flutist with Route 66 Swing Band (live performances/studio work), featured guest soloist on piccolo for Renton City Concert Band and pit orchestra for Kentridge Highschool musicals.

Bonney resides now in Gainesville Florida performing with Gainesville Community Band, Gainesville Pops!, and the Gainesville Flute Ensemble. As a member of the Florida Flute Association she performs each year with the Florida Flute Orchestra, Florida Teacher's Flute Orchestra and subs for the South Florida Flute Orchestra. Most recently she can be found at Fort Clarke Middle School coaching flutists during sectionals, accompanying soloists for FBA Solo and Ensemble Music Performance Assessment events, and teaching flute during FCMS Summer Band Camp.
